Cute picnic theme cafe. BLT sandwich was good, there was a lot of mayo, the bacon was soft. Flat white, it was milker than I liked.

Such a gem of a place near the Joren Falls rest area! We always pass it whenever we go to Shimoda and had the chance to stop by for some lunch recently. The menu is pretty simple: sandwiches and coffee. There’s about 5 or so sandwich options and a list of coffee options. We ordered the grilled chicken and the spicy chicken sandwiches ( you have a choice of plain or pepper bread). They’re a great size with fresh ingredients and very filling. Each sandwich comes with a cute tiny jar of pickled veggies. There’s an option to take your order outside and eat at their cute picnic area but it was too hot that day so we ate inside. The place is very well decorated and the guy at the counter was very nice and even spoke a bit of English to us. I wish they had more side options but that won’t stop me from coming back the next time we’re in the area!

Absolutely amazing food and coffee, one of a kind mood and interior design and on top of that, a wonderful owner whom it was a joy to chat with. Totally worth a visit if you're in the area, which is beautiful on its own.

Owner perfected his coffee making in New Zealand. The owner researched the perfect milk, along with the local incredible water and coffee beans has created the perfect flat white coffee. If you are a kiwi you can get your flat white coffee fix. Then head down the road to the amazing Jiyourennotaki waterfall.

Great sandwiches and coffee, and all very well presented. The bread is baked on the premises and the pork for the BLT is cured there, too. Superb flat white coffee! I saw the shop as I drove by and I was pleased I did a u-turn to come back for lunch. I will definitely visit again!
